Pastry Baker - Kennedy

La Segunda Bakery & Café is in search of a Pastry Baker. The ideal candidate will have minimum of 2 years’ experience in pastry or baking. You will learn to prep, bake off and finish a wide variety of handmade pastries. Ability to work well alone and as a team is a must. This position is for production, not for decorating.  Candidate expected to produce a high volume of products for the restaurant.


  • Reports directly to the Pastry Supervisor on the shift
  • Come to work with clean, neat appearance and in uniform
  • Bake off pastry, per production sheet
  • Follow recipes per company standard
  • Mix, prepare and finish pastry per production sheet
  • Safely operate mixers, cookie machine and sheeter
  • Maintain La Segunda Bakery’s high standards for product Quality
  • Responsible for an assigned clean up task at shift conclusion
  • Assisting in other duties as assigned by Pastry Manager or General Manager


  • 1-2 years minimum experience in Pastry or Baking
  • Able to understand and follow instruction
  • Food preparation experience required
  • Able to work well with others but also self-motivated
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and work in heat
  • Must be able to start a 2 am or 3 am shift
